The Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff is committed to a robust and progressive custody alternative program that provides alternatives to traditional incarceration while ensuring public safety.

The Custody Alternative Facility (CAF) programs provide for public safety, maintain judicial confidence, and at the same time allows the offender to be contributing members of society while fulfilling their court-ordered sentences.
